This site offers translation into multiple languages, both through professionally translated documents and through automated translation tools (including Google Translate). Captions and transcripts
Live and recorded captions on Council meeting video are generated using automated speech recognition and may contain errors, particularly with proper names, technical terms, and crosstalk. Captions are provided as an accessibility aid and are not a substitute for the official minutes. The approved minutes are the official record of the meeting.
Archival accuracy
Historical agendas, minutes, video, and other archived materials are presented as they were created at the time of the meeting. Older records may reflect policies, contact information, or Council composition that have since changed. Records are not retroactively edited to reflect later events.
Recordings
Open meetings of the City Council are recorded in their entirety. By attending a Council meeting in person, participating remotely, or addressing the Council during public comment, you acknowledge that your image, voice, and statements will be recorded and made publicly available as part of the meeting archive.
Public comment
Statements made during public comment are the views of the individual speaker and do not represent the views of the City of Fresno or the City Council. The Council does not endorse, edit, or vouch for the accuracy of any statement made during public comment, and is generally prohibited by the Brown Act from discussing or responding to non-agenda items raised during public comment.
